Learning & Development Program for Transformation at a Major Retailer
Major Australian Retailer
The Story
As the Agile Transformation Chapter of a major Australian retailer, we are building a pool of internal team members who can lead business-unit level agile transformations. We are looking for a practical learning experience for our transformation leaders that creates a common language across the organisation, establishes clarity in our collective approach, and embeds the capabilities needed to deliver on our transformational objectives.
Our Approach
In collaboration with the retailer, ADAPTOVATE designed and delivered a tailored program that equipped transformation leaders with the knowledge, tools, and shared mindset to lead effectively.
Key approaches
- Inventoried current training and learning for transformation leaders in the client ecosystem to identify gaps and elements that could be leveraged
- Developed a self-assessment for transformation leaders to understand their strengths and areas of development
- Aggregated and synthesised frameworks across agile, organisational design, program management, and change to develop a cohesive outcomes-based approach to transformation
- Developed a 4 half-day Bootcamp program to immerse transformation leaders in the transformation approach via a mock case
Results & Impact
Outcomes
ADAPTOVATE delivered the Bootcamp for approximately 40 transformation leaders to build their fluency, create clarity, and uplift capability. All participants were upskilled in transformation capabilities and 32 are currently in or well-positioned for transformation lead roles. Participants self-reported an increase in their confidence to lead an agile transformation from Neutral to Strongly Agree.
“[This bootcamp] took concepts from 2D to 3D. We now have the opportunity to make it 4D by applying them to agile transformational initiatives in the business.”
