The Story

The Challenge

We are an agribusiness logistics company and, due to strong market conditions, we want to find ways to maximise exports. Our existing rail assets are underutilised, resulting in excess supply unable to reach export markets that are paying high commodity prices.

Our Approach

In collaboration with the agribusiness logistics company, ADAPTOVATE co-designed and implemented an improved supply chain solution:

  • Identified opportunities to close the gap between the current operating state and desired state through a root-cause diagnostic
  • Co-designed a new rail supply-chain solution delivering a 30% increase in exports with improved reliability, no additional capital expenditure, and optimized asset utilization
  • Piloted and iterated the solution across multiple business units and external stakeholders to validate and deliver it
