Quarterly Planning in the Finance Division of a Mining Company
Global Mining Company (Finance Division)
The Story
The Challenge
We are the finance division in a global mining company. We are tasked with delivering on enterprise initiatives that require clarity and alignment with leadership on the most important areas. We want to better plan, estimate and deliver on our priorities to achieve this.
Our Approach
In collaboration with the finance division, ADAPTOVATE helped them shift to quarterly reprioritization and planning, which allowed for improved focus and understanding of capacity and capability to improve the ability to deliver for internal and external customers and stakeholders.
- We launched a Quarterly Delivery Cycle (QDC) to focus on helping leaders think more strategically about planning and delivering outcomes on a quarterly cadence
- The Quarterly Business Review memo and Big Room Planning session provided the team transparency into quarterly goals and how much work they were attempting to deliver
- The Lead Planner was coached on how to manage and facilitate the QDC process, to work with leadership to plan for quarterly outcomes, and to continually drive improvement in the process
Results & Impact
Outcomes
