Agile Coaching at a Fintech Startup
Peer-to-Peer Agricultural Lending Fintech Startup
The Story
The Challenge
We are a start-up operating in peer-to-peer money lending for agricultural loans. We want to transfer the loan book from legacy tech to an off-the-shelf product that members can access. We want our team to be able to deliver this quickly and cost-effectively with momentum towards profitability. Important to this is keeping both the board and our teams motivated and happy.
Our Approach
In collaboration with the fintech startup, ADAPTOVATE coached two cross-functional teams in agile ways of working to define key customers and stakeholders, and was able to:
- Review the customer experience throughout the different touchpoints in the customer journey to identify potential drop-offs
- Prioritise the tasks required to deliver change to processes, technology and service in implementing a new credit-score assessment process and migrating existing loan platforms
- Utilise experience in the technical back-end IT stack to mitigate risks
- Assist with marketing messages and address legal changes required to meet service and investor requirements
Outcomes
By coaching the cross-functional teams in agile ways of working, ADAPTOVATE helped the startup deliver the platform migration faster and more cost-effectively — reducing customer-journey drop-offs, mitigating technical and legal risks, and building momentum towards profitability while keeping both the board and teams motivated.
