Design Sprints in a Global Energy Company
Global Energy Company (Latin American Business Unit)
The Story
The Challenge
We conducted an employee survey across four regions in Latin America, and it revealed slow decision-making and complex processes. Our operations, reporting and measurement of work progress are overly complicated, causing waste.
Our Approach
In collaboration with the global energy company, ADAPTOVATE led a Design Sprint over five days with 15 representatives from four different countries. Over the course of the week, teams:
- Identified over 100 pain points and inefficiencies
- Ideated high-impact solutions to address the pain points
- Established the priority of opportunities based on complexity and impact
- Created accountabilities with actionable steps
- Established and empowered cross-functional agile delivery teams with clear decision rights to test and learn improvements
Results & Impact
Outcomes
The Design Sprint accelerated the simplification of legacy processes across four countries — surfacing over 100 pain points, prioritising high-impact solutions by complexity and impact, and standing up empowered cross-functional agile delivery teams to test and learn improvements.
