The Story

The Challenge

The Digital Delivery group of a water authority needed to increase its resilience to change and improve its ability to scale ahead of a planned amalgamation program. They had identified they weren't efficient enough, with large management overheads, and weren't effective enough in delivery for greater return on investment. They needed to get teams ready for migration and improve the prioritization discussion with stakeholders.

Our Approach

In collaboration with the water authority, ADAPTOVATE implemented Jira Align and agile coaching to provide transparency and linkage of work to strategy:

Delivered technical integration between Jira Align and Jira Software to provide transparency in value delivery
Developed and delivered training for leaders in running meetings, planning, delivering and managing dependencies more effectively using Jira Align
Embedded Jira Align as the single source of truth in managing programs of work by coaching on how to use the tool to build and communicate development roadmaps

Outcomes

ADAPTOVATE embedded Jira Align as the single source of truth for the Digital Delivery group — integrated with Jira Software for real-time portfolio visibility, with a refined work-item hierarchy and 1 tribe and 4 squads set up to use it day-to-day, plus trained users and administrators able to manage it independently ahead of the amalgamation.
